HIGH POINT — Two winners have been announced in the Bernice Bienenstock Furniture Library’s interior design competition.
First place went to Virginia Tech senior Erica Brooks, who will receive a $ 5,000 scholarship to continue her studies in interior design. Second place and a $ 1,500 scholarship was awarded to Winthrop University’s Tung Nguyen.

UK bargain furniture retailer DFS has stayed true to form and priced shares for its upcoming stock market flotation at the bottom end of a pre-set range.
The furniture group, which is known for its boxing day sales and deep year round discounts, is selling its shares at 255p each, after previously saying it would attach a price tag of 245p-310p.
The deal will give the company a market value upon flotation of £543m.
